Python Programme
Python Course with Practice Labs and Placement Support
Python Developer
Overview
The Python course is the python-programming track at Career Catalyst Institute. The product description is Python, OOP, data structures, SQL, and backend APIs with FastAPI and Django. The default role is Python Developer. The campus page adds browser-based practice labs, pytest basics, Git workflows, and automation scripts. The fullest written syllabus in this repository is the python_course script set, modules 0 through 12, plus a lab bridge that maps those module slugs to named practice labs.
After you create a student account, this programme sits inside the same CCI Academy login as the other three tracks. The campus already includes a student dashboard, learner profile, assessment hub, learning roadmap, course lessons, practice labs, a resume builder, a certificates vault, and a placement desk. Faculty use the admin campus for students, curriculum, assessments, placements, certificates, and mailbox. AI Mentor, Interview Prep, and Community Hub are routed in the product and marked as coming next; they are not live lesson tracks.
Python labs run in the browser. The lab bridge lists labs such as Hello print, Variables, if/else, lists, dictionaries, classes, try/except, and capstones for a tip receipt, quiz engine, contact book, and expense store. Students earn XP, stars, and a streak from the labs hub and dashboard. The assessment categories are Python basics and types, OOP in Python, FastAPI and web APIs, SQL databases and SQLAlchemy, and technical communication, plus a full Python assessment. Three attempts per category per day. The Python roadmap assessment allows two attempts per day.
Syllabus and modules
Module 0 is Getting Started with Python: what programming is, why Python, installing Python and VS Code, a first program, and reading errors. A second seed title for the same slug is Python Core and OOP, with a lesson on data types and control flow; the python_course script title used here is Getting Started with Python. Module 1 is Python Basics — Variables, Data Types and Operators. Module 2 is Control Flow — Decisions and Loops, including if/else, elif, match-case, while, for and range, break and continue, and a number guessing game. Module 3 is Working with Strings. Module 4 is Data Structures — Lists, Tuples, Sets and Dictionaries. Module 5 is Functions. Module 6 is Files, Errors and the Standard Library.
Module 7 is Object-Oriented Programming: classes and objects, __init__ and attributes, instance, class and static methods, encapsulation and properties, inheritance, polymorphism and abstract base classes, dunder methods, and a library or cart project. Module 8 is Packages, pip, Virtual Environments and Clean Code, including Git and GitHub for Python projects, PEP 8, logging, and debugging. Module 9 is Advanced Python: iterators, generators, decorators, context managers, regular expressions, dataclasses and enums, pytest, and a concurrency introduction. Module 10 is Python in the Real World — APIs, Databases, Web and Data: the requests library, a public API project, SQLite, Beautiful Soup, automation scripts, an introduction to FastAPI, pandas, and an introduction to Selenium. Module 11 is Capstone Projects: a contact-book CLI, an expense tracker with SQLite and argparse, a quiz game, a to-do REST API with FastAPI and SQLite, and a pandas sales report. Module 12 is Problem Solving and Interview Preparation: a method for coding problems, string and list practice, dicts, sets and recursion, Big O, Python interview questions, and a career-roadmap lesson.
The in-app learning roadmap shortens that list for the student view: setup and first program, core syntax, control flow, data structures, functions, errors and files, OOP, intermediate Python, capstones and practice labs, then a job-ready step that points at placements.
Tools covered
Named in the Python modules and labs: the Python language, VS Code as mentioned in the Module 0 description, pip and virtual environments, Git and GitHub, pytest, SQLite, the requests library, Beautiful Soup, FastAPI, Pydantic as described in the FastAPI assessment, SQLAlchemy as described in the SQL assessment, pandas, and an introduction to Selenium. Practice labs in the bridge include print, variables, numbers, f-strings, booleans, if/else, elif, while, for and range, break and continue, FizzBuzz, nested conditions, match/case, lists, tuples, sets, dictionaries, functions, try/except, classes, inheritance, comprehensions, generators, regex, asserts, and the four capstones. Django is named in the track description. TODO: which Django lessons are published, if any, is not listed as its own module title in the python_course scripts. TODO: Python version and whether VS Code is required are not published as an institute standard beyond the Module 0 description.
Duration, fees, and who can join
TODO: full course duration and total study hours are not published in this LMS. A seeded Python data-types lesson stores 15 minutes. That is one lesson field, not the course length. TODO: course fee is not published in this LMS. TODO: batch timing and class schedule are not published in this LMS.
Module 0 is written for someone installing Python and writing a first program. The data-types lesson is marked Beginner. TODO: a formal eligibility rule is not published in this LMS.
Career outcomes
The role is Python Developer. Outcomes named on the campus are Python practice labs with XP, a study roadmap from the assessment, and a developer internship-letter path. Capstone projects in Module 11 are the portfolio pieces described in the syllabus: contact book, expense tracker, quiz game, FastAPI to-do API, and a pandas report. Certificates download from the vault when module or track requirements are met. The resume builder uses the profile and skills inventory. TODO: placement rate, salary figures, and hiring-company names are not published in this LMS.
Placement support
The placement desk, resume PDF, certificates, and internship offer-letter request are available on the same account after you enrol. Faculty can email new roles from the placements mailbox, placements@cci.in.net. TODO: campus address is not published in this LMS. TODO: phone number is not published in this LMS.
